Creative Journaling, Baby!
- Journal with Who? What? When? Where? and Why?
- Hate your handwriting? Me too! Use your computer word processing program to do the journaling.
- You can also use your publishing software. There are plenty of cool fonts to use, too.
- You can also use the internet to find cool fonts to download.
- When journaling your pages, don't forget the date of the events happened.
- Also put names of the folks in the pictures. Generations to come may want to know who they were. They are depending on you to tell the story behind the pages.
- If placing names with faces distracts from the beauty of your pages, you can always write the names on the back of the pages.
- Want colored journal entries, my printer will print on heavy cardstock as well as acid-free construction paper.
- Want a colored font? Some computer programs allow you to change the colors. Say goodbye to blah black.
- Jazz up your own handwriting by adding little circles at the beginning and ending of each of your letters
- Dot your i's with hearts, x's, smiley faces (school teachers hate this one), paw prints.
- You don't have to tell the obvious things in a photo. Be creative, get silly, make a joke!
- Use your favorite poem, title or words of your favorite song or nursery rhymes.
